Northwest Ohio Crawlers

Rose City December 2007 Trip Report
Mark, Mike and Eric decided to make to trip to Rose City to check out a new 4x4 park.  We headed up Saturday morning about 5am.  The further North the we went the colder it got.  My outside temp gage said 9 degrees by the time we hit the park.  The drive up was very easy 75N to 33N hang a left and right and we were there.
We arrived at the park about 9:30am and there was already Jeeps lined up signing the waivers.  The front half of the park has motocross tracks.  The start of the trail is on one side of the track.
We hit the trails about 11am, after a couple runs down the road to warm up my fluids.  The Jeep didn't want to shift in the cold weather.  We spent about 3 hours out the first time.  There were some challenging hill climbs and good trails to follow each other.  Most of the trials a stock Jeep could do with some pulling in places.  Mark added some new lines to his front fenders on one hill climb.
There was a bonfire to keep warn and Hot Dogs for lunch.  After lunch we hit the trials for about 3 more hours.
It started snowing when we stopped to eat dinner at Fuddruckers in Flint on the way home.  We only hit 45mph a couple times on the way home.  I'm glad the truck is a 4x4.
From what people were saying the owner plans to add a couple rock gardens and open the place once a month for Jeeps.  I would go back if there were a couple rock gardens.
